Job description

Home Health Aide

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patients needs.

Certification Required

Pay Rates : $15.00 - $20.00 per hour (Pay is determined based on current experience, proposed case complexity, case distance, etc.)

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following :
  • Baths, oral hygiene, dressing and undressing, toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed / demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed / demonstrated skills competency)
  • Patients laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
  • Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
  • Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family / caregiver and office
  • Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes to the assigned nurse supervisor

    • Requirements :

  • Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
  • HHA Certification Needed
  • Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
  • Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
  • PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
  • Participation and completion of Maxims competency program
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
