We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Risk Advisor within the Financial Advisor Services division to support the Sales and DistributionStrategy and Enablement organizations with a strong focus on transformation initiatives. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership helping to identify assess and mitigate risks across sales sales enablement programs and strategic transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in risk management strong business acumen and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Advisory & Governance
Partner with Sales and Distribution Strategy & Enablement leadership to proactively identify and assess operational strategic and compliance risks.
Develop and maintain risk registers tailored to sales processes enablement initiatives and transformation programs.
Provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies and controls ensuring alignment with enterprise risk frameworks.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of Vanguard the FAS business and its sales strategy. Independently stay informed of industry trends and developments to maintain strong business- and risk-acumen. Share learnings and perspective with the risk team and business partners
Be accountable for the timely completion of risk projects and ensuring risk work is creating the desired outcomes
Project & Transformation Support
Embed risk management into major transformation initiatives including process redesigns and go-to-market strategy shifts.
Participate in project governance forums offering risk insights and challenge to ensure successful delivery and sustainable outcomes.
Conduct risk assessments for new initiatives
Monitoring & Reporting
Develop and deliver risk reporting and dashboards for senior stakeholders highlighting key exposures trends and mitigation progress.
Monitor emerging risks and industry trends relevant to sales and sales enablement functions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Training
Build strong relationships with Sales Distribution Strategy & Enablement Legal and Compliance teams.
Lead risk awareness and training sessions to promote a culture of accountability and informed decision-making.
Act as a liaison between business units and enterprise risk functions.
Skills :
Strong understanding of sales sales operations enablement strategies and related technologies (e.g. CRM platforms).
Excellent communication influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information and present actionable insights.
Proven experience supporting transformation projects and change initiatives.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Business Finance Risk Management or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g. CRMA PMP) preferred.
8 years of experience in risk advisory internal audit or compliance ideally within a sales or commercial organization.
