Job description

Join a growing, mission-driven organization committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee and lead all aspects of the contracts and purchasing process, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage the Contracts / Purchasing Department, setting goals and ensuring efficient workflow and performance.

Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of contracts and purchasing agreements with vendors and subcontractors.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders-including Risk, Legal, Operations, Accounts Payable / Receivable-to ensure alignment on contract terms and fulfillment.

Analyze requests for deviations from standard contract terms and propose modifications to mitigate risk.

Oversee the preparation, distribution, and tracking of contract documents to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Maintain and improve department processes through internal meetings, training, and performance evaluations.

Serve as the point of contact for contract-related inquiries across the company and provide guidance on contract risk, structure, and compliance.

Support company initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Minimum 10 years of related experience in contract negotiation and management.

Strong knowledge of legal terms, risk mitigation, and contract structure.

Ability to interpret legal documents, technical procedures, and regulatory materials.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and document management systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to stakeholders and negotiate with external partners.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make sound decisions in complex situations.

Understanding of cost accounting and contract pricing terms.

Additional Information :

Occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs may be required.

Primarily office-based work with moderate noise levels.

  • Limited travel may be required.
