Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a Principal / Sr. Principal Engineer Systems based out of Huntsville, Alabama for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) efforts. IBCS delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS into their militaries, the US and other nations are transforming their integrated missile defense capabilities in a consistent manner. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Perform analysis at all levels of total system product life cycle to include : concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. this requisition is contingent upon funding / award
• This requisition may be filled based on qualifications listed below :
• Basic Qualifications :
• Principal : 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Years with PhD.
• Sr. Principal : 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 3 Years with PhD
• Must have test and evaluation knowledge
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering
• Experience with Cameo or MagicDraw
• Proven ability to comprehend / develop / decompose System Architecture and System Requirements (from System Specifications high-level requirements to the lowest level) in a model-based environment
• Experience with Requirements Impact Assessments, Change Requests, and Engineering Change Proposals
• Proven ability to understand software systems interface documentation, interconnect diagrams, military standards
• Active Secret Clearance required to start Preferred Qualifications :
• Technical experience with IAMD : C2 with understanding of weapons, sensors, distributed computing and these systems' impact on a command-and-control system's architecture, requirements, and interfaces for communications between these systems
• Systems Engineering Experience in an Agile environment
• Experience with Jira
• IBCS experience preferred
• Link-16 Experience
• Familiarity with weapon systems and sensors such as : PATRIOT, Sentinel, G / ATOR, etc. - HSVNov13 Primary Level Salary Range : $105,400.00 - $158,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range : $131,100.00 - $196,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
