Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Behavioral health patient population alongside typical Med / Surg Tele cases Patient ratios are typically 1 : 5-6 Night shift schedule consisting of four 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 Every other weekend required Required to float within scope to like units and may float to sister campuses Epic EMR system is used and prior experience is required Royal blue and white scrubs are required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Return staff must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible Travelers on night shift may extend assignment up to two times; those on day shift may extend once Must submit all time off and scheduling requests at the time of application Holidays coverage limited to one holiday with RTO subject to manager's approval Team environment in a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of application Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg Tele experience required Behavioral health experience preferred Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance No previous background or license hits within the past year Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the hospital Pre-start modules must be completed prior to assignment Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627097.
