Electrical Engineer - Generation Mid-Level

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities :

POWER Engineers, member of WSP is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to work in our Generation Electrical Department. Openings are available for the Oradell, NJ office.

Responsibilities include :

Lead and support electrical engineer on design of power generation projects

Lead and support electrical engineer on the design of renewable energy projects

Lead and support electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades

Lead and support electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgrades

Mentor and teach junior engineers

Project proposal and budget development

Required Education / Experience

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Electrical PE License

6-8+ years of detailed electrical design engineering experience, including calculations, equipment specifications, etc.

5+ years of relay coordination and schematic design

CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience

Desired Education / Experience

Master of Science or MBA

Previous experience leading a group of engineers is a plus

5+ years of detailed design engineering experience in generating facilities and / or substations is a plus

5+ years of owners engineering experience in generating facilities and / or substations is a plus

Base Salary Range : $108,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
