The Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for performing/supporting technical-related activities in the design, integration, and maintenance support for our manufacturing Plant activities. You will optimize and enhance setup and operating practices by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, testing, and rolling out manufacturing methods to the plant floor.

We are looking for individuals who have the flexibility to work varying shifts, as shift times and patterns can change based on business needs. We are currently hiring for the below shifts:

• Continental Day shift: 6:00am - 6:30pm.
• Continental Night shift: 6:00pm - 6:30am.

What you get to do:

• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, tools and equipment layout
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service
• Develops, updates, and improves Standard Operating Procedures in accordance to improvements on the line.
• Leads training of SOPs on the plant floor
• Executes design and development projects and completes through training and guiding operators and technicians
• Keeps equipment operational by operating packaging lines as necessary
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement activities, including but not limited to leading Continuous Improvement sessions
• Identifies, proposes, and executes cost reduction activities
• Supports Research and Development activities through running trials, participating in design discussions, or travel to vendors
• Will be required to travel to support technical transfer, factory acceptance tests, professional development, and training

• Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and concepts
• Shows initiative, takes directions and executes plans efficiently
• Must possess technical aptitude. Technical background an asset.
• Proficient working with computer programs/software
• Demonstrate safe work habits and excellent work ethics
• Accuracy and detail oriented
• Identifies with adult learning/training principles
• Knowledge of SOPs - cleaning, start up, safety, operation, CQP
• Must successfully complete training on operating equipment
