Job Summary / Company :
Sparks Group has partnered with a nationwide grocery retailer to hire a Store Manager Trainee for their management training program in the Birmingham, AL market. This program is ideal for individuals with prior retail leadership experience who are ready to fast-track into a full Store Manager role after successfully completing a 5–6 month training period.
As a Store Manager Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in every aspect of store operations, including staffing, scheduling, merchandising, budgeting, and customer service. Candidates should be open to placement at any store within the greater Birmingham area (spanning as far north as Gadsden / Jasper, east to Anniston, and south to Alabaster / Bessemer
Responsibilities :
Qualifications / Background Profile :
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
Prior management experience preferred
Ability to travel to multiple locations within a 45min radius of Greater Birmingham Area
Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights.
