Security Architect - AI Governance

Piper Companies is hiring a Security Architect - AI Governance for a large technology company located in Raleigh, NC. The Security Architect - AI Governance will lead the design and implementation of secure, ethical, and compliant AI systems across our organization. The Security Architect - AI Governance is a long term contract opportunity and is able to sit remote in the Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities of the Security Architect - AI Governance :

• Identify and evaluate security risks specific to AI / ML systems, including model poisoning, data leakage, adversarial attacks, and misuse.
• Develop threat models for AI pipelines and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Design and implement AI governance policies aligned with global regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO / IEC 42001).
• Architect secure infrastructure for AI / ML systems, including data ingestion, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Establish monitoring mechanisms for AI model behavior, drift, and anomalies.
