American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Float Pool position with advanced telemetry experience and night shift requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Medical / Surgical Float Pool in a hospital setting
  • Provides care to a diverse adult patient population with a range of acuity levels
  • Frequent use of advanced telemetry monitoring and medication drips including Cardizem, insulin (for hyperglycemia), and phenobarbital
  • 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00pm to 7 : 00am) with every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • May be requested to float within the facility
  • Weekly orientation is provided
  • Previous permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
  • First-time travelers with strong acute care experience will be considered
  • Local candidates are accepted at a local rate if residing within a 50-mile radius
  • Requested time off must be included at time of consideration

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active NH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration (no temporary licenses accepted)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty
  • Advanced telemetry experience required
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Ability to administer Cardizem, insulin drips (for hyperglycemia), and phenobarbital on telemetry
  • Three professional references required, including two from leadership
