The Production Planner is responsible for customer order entry and scheduling manufacturing processes to meet customer demand, from raw materials to finished goods. The Production Planner works closely with a production team to ensure plant capacity can meet production and customer schedules.
Responsibilities :
A Production Planner ensures the production process goes smoothly by making sure all of the appropriate parts are in place and ready to go.

- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating the production of the company’s products
- Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
- Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
- Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
- Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
- Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
- Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes
- Learn and perform other tasks as required by the company
- Organize and navigate the warehouse as needed
- Work overtime as needed on a weekly basis
