Responsibilities Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a large, short-term acute care hospital Level I Trauma Center setting with a team nursing model Patient ratio of 1 : 6–7 on night shifts (4x12s, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM) Weekend and on-call requirements as needed Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles, though inter-campus floating is rare Cerner EMR system is used and experience is preferred RNs deliver patient-centered nursing care using a team approach on a busy Med / Surg unit Must be willing to work assigned holidays; if three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) fall during assignment, at least two must be worked All requested time off (RTO) must be provided at time of application; no exceptions after offer Vaccination status must be documented No block scheduling is accommodated, but weekend block may be considered upon discussion during interview Dress code or scrub requirements will be discussed during interview Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required; pending licensure not accepted Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience in a large hospital required Level I Trauma Center experience required At least 1 completed previous travel RN assignment required; first-time travelers not considered Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required Current BLS certification required Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Former employees must have a minimum 1-year separation to be eligible for return Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-641780.
