Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician

McLaren Medical Group Macomb is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide locum coverage this winter at their busy tertiary teaching hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a fully supported, high-acuity environment with strong APP and RNFA coverage, full cath lab capabilities, and a well-organized surgical service.

Assignment Overview

• Location: 1000 Harrington Blvd., Mount Clemens, MI 48043

• Dates: Nov 24, 2025 Feb 27, 2026

• Schedule:

  • Mon Sun, Onsite 7am 4pm

  • Call: From end of clinic until the following morning

• Setting: Cardiothoracic surgical service for both cardiovascular and trauma patients

• Reason for Need: Recruitment gap

• Avg. Patients per Day: 5

• EHR: Cerner

• Support: Fully staffed clinic + RNFA + APP coverage

• Procedures Include:

  • Aneurysm repairs

  • Thoracic surgery

  • Arterial bypass procedures

  • Peripheral vascular procedures

  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repairs

  • Bypass surgery

Requirements

• Active Michigan License We can with MI licensure if you have an IMLC Letter of Qualification

• Board Certified
  

• Clean malpractice & background

• Local to Michigan Highly Preferred
