Job Summary :
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide essential nursing care to patients with complex needs, following established policies and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Gather comprehensive patient data from various sources including patients, families, and healthcare providers to form a thorough understanding of care needs.
- Analyze assessments to identify relevant diagnoses and conditions impacting patient care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to determine optimal outcomes.
- Create care plans outlining strategies to achieve desired outcomes, employing clinical judgment and collaborating with the care team.
- Implement care plans effectively, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Assess and evaluate progress towards goals and outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Contribute to nursing practice quality by continuously evaluating and improving your own practices.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration across all areas of patient care.
- Incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care to meet diverse clinical needs.
- Remain alert and attentive to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Graduated from an accredited nursing program.No prior ICU experience is required.Physical Requirements :
Frequent speaking and listening in communication.Constant standing, walking, and occasional lifting of patients and objects.Visual acuity for near and far distances and to differentiate colors.Frequent use of smell for identifying potential issues.Must maintain a high level of alertness to ensure patient safety.Licensure and Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Registered Nurse (RN) licensure as required by the state of employment.Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification and other applicable certifications based on experience and specialty practice.Work Shift : Day Shift
