Senior DevSecOps Engineer (TS / SCI)

Metric5 is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the Cache team, leading efforts to design, automate, secure, and optimize mission‑critical cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security automation, with a proven track record of enabling secure and scalable solutions in compliance‑driven environments.

This is a hands‑on engineering role requiring on‑site presence five days per week at the client location in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

Architecture, Automation, and CI / CD Leadership

• Design and Implement CI / CD Pipelines : Lead the design, development, and maintenance of CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to automate and accelerate application delivery, testing, and deployment into secure AWS environments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Architect, build, and manage scalable and resilient infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• AWS GovCloud Engineering : Design and maintain secure, compliant, and highly available systems in AWS GovCloud, ensuring adherence to FedRAMP and agency‑specific security requirements.
• Containerization & Serverless : Develop and manage containerized and serverless solutions using AWS Fargate, Lambda, and related services.
• System Optimization : Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Education & Certifications

Years of Experience : 10+ years of relevant experience

Salary : $150,000 - $160,000 Annually

Clearance : US Citizen with TS / SCI Clearance

Location : The candidate must be local to the Washington, D.C. area and able to report on‑site.
