Senior Director, Global Email & Marketing Automation
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid schedule)
Our client, a global FINTECH organization, is hiring a Senior Director of Global Email & Marketing Automation to lead enterprise lifecycle marketing and marketing automation strategy across a highly complex, international environment.
This executive leader will set the vision and operational framework for global automation across Adobe Marketo Engage, HubSpot, and Salesforce Pardot, with deep integration into Salesforce. The role is accountable for transforming marketing automation into a measurable revenue engine — powering global campaign execution, scalable personalization, and end-to-end customer journey optimization.
Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing Operations, this leader will collaborate cross-functionally with Line of Business Marketing, Product Marketing, Campaign Operations, CRM, Sales Operations, Analytics, and Digital teams to improve customer experience and accelerate growth outcomes worldwide.
What You’ll Own
Enterprise Automation Strategy
- Define and execute the global roadmap for marketing automation modernization.
- Lead consolidation of 15+ legacy platforms into scalable, integrated systems.
- Oversee 16 major integrations across CRM, data, and marketing technologies.
- Establish governance standards, taxonomy frameworks, and scalable campaign architecture.
Global Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a distributed global team across the U.S. and UK, including technical and development resources.
- Provide hands-on technical direction and platform oversight.
- Build automation capabilities that scale across regions and business units.
- Influence senior international stakeholders across a matrixed enterprise structure.
Lifecycle & Revenue Performance
- Design global lifecycle programs spanning acquisition, onboarding, retention, cross-sell, and re-engagement.
- Develop advanced lead scoring models, segmentation frameworks, and nurture strategies aligned to sales and revenue operations.
- Drive performance marketing conversion optimization and attribution accuracy.
- Deliver executive-ready reporting tied to pipeline, revenue contribution, and ROI.
Governance, Compliance & Optimization
- Ensure adherence to global privacy regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and related frameworks).
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and financial business cases.
- Identify and implement AI-driven enhancements across the marketing automation stack.
- Continuously optimize deliverability, personalization, and engagement performance.
Required Experience
Technical & Functional Expertise
- 10+ years leading global digital marketing operations within complex enterprises.
- 7+ years of deep, hands-on experience with Adobe Marketo Engage (primary platform ownership required).
- Strong expertise across HubSpot, Pardot, and Salesforce CRM integrations.
- 10+ years of experience leading enterprise-level system integrations.
- 5+ years leading large-scale platform migrations and governance transformations.
- Proven track record connecting automation strategy directly to revenue growth.
Leadership Profile
- Senior Director-level leadership experience within Fortune 500 or similarly scaled organizations.
- Demonstrated success managing international teams (UK & U.S. direct reports strongly preferred).
- Experience guiding technical developers and automation architects.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical strategy into business outcomes.
- Expertise in change management within matrixed global environments.
