HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Santa Rosa, California.

Unit Description – OR RN

Its a Level II Trauma Center with a busy 25-case OR handling a wide range of specialties including Ortho (total joints & trauma), Neuro, Vascular, Robotics, General, GU, and GYN . The facility is not an ASC and has in-house anesthesia coverage 24 / 7 .

Shift Info :

  • Shifts : 4x12s accepted (Days or Nights)
  • Schedule : No block scheduling; call required (up to 6–8 shifts per 6-week period, including nights, evenings, weekends)
  • Weekend coverage : Every other weekend
  • Orientation : 40 hours
  • Scrubs : Provided

    • Systems & Equipment :

  • EMR : EPIC
  • Medication : Pyxis
  • SBAR communication
  • Trauma team on call
  • Night shifts typically staffed with 2 (1 RN / 1 ST or 2 RNs – one scrub)

    • Required Experience & Skills :

  • Minimum 3 years OR RN (5 years preferred)
  • Trauma, Ortho, General, Vascular, Neuro, Plastics, ENT experience required
  • Must be able to scrub and circulate
  • Must be willing to take call and float as needed (Queen, Petaluma Valley, Healdsburg)
  • Previous Level I / II Trauma experience preferred

    • Certifications :

  • BLS & ACLS required
  • CNOR preferred

    • ✅ Special Procedures : Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Robotics, General, GYN, ENT

    ✅ Patient Age Group : Neonates to Geriatrics

    ✅ Traveler Friendly : Yes (accepts 1st time travelers)

    📝 Additional Info :

  • Call distributed equally among staff every 6 weeks
  • May be required to cover one night shift during contract
  • Pre-approved time off : 1 request per contract
