AB Staffing is looking for experienced School Social Workers that are available for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work preferred.
• Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement
• Experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Job Description:

• Contract through the 2025/2026 school year
• Contract follows the academic district calendar – 24 hours per week.
• Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location

Essential Functions:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students
• Support students with IEPs and contribute to IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration
• Address issues such as attendance, behavior, and crisis intervention
• Serve as a liaison between the school and community resources

Salary:

• $1,032 – $1,104 per week
