Sheet Metal Mechanic

Join our team as a Sheet Metal Mechanic, where you will fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and components for HVAC systems. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, interpreting blueprints and specifications to meet project requirements. This role involves using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to measure, cut, and shape sheet metal, ensuring airtight connections through welding, soldering, and riveting.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and components for HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as shears, brakes, and presses.
• Weld, solder, and rivet seams and joints to assemble ductwork and ensure airtight connections.
• Inspect and test completed ductwork for conformance to specifications and building codes.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on existing ductwork systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tallahassee, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 / hr.
