Shift Timings : Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM (Central Time Zone)
Job Summary :
The Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a key representative of the organization, providing high-quality specimen collection services to patients. This role involves direct patient interaction and requires professionalism, empathy, and precision. The PSR II is responsible for collecting blood specimens, verifying patient information, and preparing samples for laboratory testing while adhering to established procedures and safety standards.
Successful candidates may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, and the public.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Travel to multiple locations and provide coverage with minimal notice as needed.
Requirements : Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred)Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Experience :
1-3 years of phlebotomy experience (Required)Must include pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred)Customer service experience in retail or service environment (Highly Preferred)Keyboard / data entry experience (Required)Skills & Attributes :
