Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the brand, marketing, PR, community involvement, and social media strategies for the organization. This high impact role will help shape and influence our brand, visibility, and operational consistency by developing strategy and driving best practices. This includes ownership of the vision and roadmap for all channels and assets. As a strategist and delivery agent, comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment is key to success.
Responsibilities
BRAND + STRATEGY
Develop brand strategy and roadmap.
Drive the threading of this strategy throughout all we do and how we do it.
Build examples and case studies of brand differentiators for internal and external use.
Build analytics and dashboards to track and improve effectiveness. Report out regularly.
EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS + PUBLIC RELATIONS
Drive overall strategy for external communications, community involvement, and public relations to promote external brand awareness.
Build opportunities for URG to demonstrate knowledge as thought leaders in the industry.
Build and maintain relationships with publications and industry organizations. Identify unique editorial, event and sponsorship opportunities.
Create press releases in coordination with outside consultants, as needed. Topics include company milestones, awards, recognition, industry thought leader pieces, sales and acquisitions, major leases and more.
Write and maintain the library of copy for proposals and marketing materials.
Copyedit, proofread and revise external communications
Manage sponsorships and advertisement campaigns including creative direction and sponsorship strategy.
CORPORATE MARKETING
Drive overall corporate marketing strategy and guidelines, including but not limited to print and digital marketing materials such as company websites, marketing brochures, company stationery, gifts, and promotional materials.
Regularly communicate and review guidelines (e.g. document design standards, correct brand colors, signature block standards, logos, etc.).
Create and update unique corporate marketing materials or proposal materials as needed or upon request from the leadership team.
Research industry trends and competition.
Track corporate website analytics monthly or quarterly, based on need.
Attend special industry events and take photos as needed (sometimes after hours).
SOCIAL MEDIA
Develop corporate social media marketing strategies for all URG social platforms and target audiences.
Analyze social media analytics reporting and adjust strategy.
Work with the People and Culture team and department leaders to collect content for posts.
PROPERTY MARKETING
Build new property marketing materials and templates upon request and create templates for further use. Including but not limited to space plan flyers, amenity flyers, leasing banners / foam boards, websites, etc.
Work with property management to templatize what we do and how we do it to create consistency and best practices across the organization.
Maintain master list of property websites, SSL certificates, domains, etc.
Develop marketing materials for brokers and leasing events upon request.
Design and launch email marketing campaigns as requested by Leasing teams.
Track monthly email marketing analytics and adjust email marketing strategies according to findings.
FINANCIAL
Create annual budget for Marketing GL and quarterly reforecasting.
Monitor marketing spending and track budget.

Professional and succinct professional and creative writing skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse audiences and partners internally and externally.
Polished communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical, computer, and technology skills.
Minimum Qualifications
BA in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related preferred.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
Proficiency with website development with Squarespace or similar.
Basic proficiency with Google Analytics.
