Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher

This position would be for the 2025-2026 school year.

• Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist License is Required

The IS will provide specially designed instruction to the students assigned to his / her caseload. This individual will work collaboratively with teachers and service providers to develop objective, measurable goals and determine appropriate accommodations for student individualized education programs.

Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with other staff members and parents / guardians in order to implement Individualized Educational Programs , Service Plans and / or other intervention programs
• Provide accommodations, modifications and interventions to students identified as having a disability and qualifying for special education
• Collaborate with general education teachers to provide instruction that maximizes students’ access to the general education content standards
• Provide specialized instruction to students with special needs in one-on-one, small-group, or inclusion settings in accordance with IEPs and / or SPs
• Support the achievement of unidentified students by providing interventions as requested by other school staff with parent permission
• Administer formative and summative progress evaluations to demonstrate effectiveness of instructional practices

• Current ODE license as an Intervention Specialist required
