  • \n\nSchedule\n\nJob Summary\n\n24-hours per week, day shift; schedule includes on-call rotation (weekday / weekend)\n\nThe Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse directs and coordinates all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.\n\nThe Operating Room Registered Nurse performs the role of Circulating Nurse while functioning as a patient advocate for the anesthetized patient. The OR RN is responsible for providing safe and effective care to the surgical patient while meeting their physiologic and functional needs.\n\nThis position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.\n\nThis position reports to the Nurse Manager / Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation\n
  • Other Certificate / Diploma Nursing required or\n
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred\n\nCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?\n\nNo\n\nLicenses and Credentials\n
  • Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts] - required\n
  • BLS certification required\n
  • ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire or transfer into position\n
  • PALS or ENPC required within 3 months of hire or transfer into position\n\nExperience\n
  • Minimum of one year Operating Room experience or completion of Periop 101 program required\n\nKnowledge, Skills And Abilities\n
  • Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required.\n
