Project Management Office Director
Under general direction, strategic leadership role responsible with establishing, managing, and guiding the Project Management Office Division which includes but not limited to, project teams, and project managers within the Information Technology Department and across the organization. The scope of responsibilities includes overall leadership, mentorship, effective planning, execution and delivery of a diverse portfolio of Enterprise Technology Projects.
Essential Job Functions :
- Provide strategic leadership for the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective planning, execution, and optimal utilization of organizational resources.
- Lead, mentor, and coach PMO team members to promote collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Foster a positive and engaged work environment that supports teamwork, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify, verify, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain standardized project management practices, methodologies, and governance processes in alignment with industry best practices.
- Oversee the preparation and administration of budget proposals through the project governance process, including forecasting, procurement planning, and Council agenda preparation.
- Proactively identify and resolve budgetary challenges, project risks, and schedule deviations.
- Provide leadership for technology solution reviews, benchmarking, analysis, and investment decisions that span multiple departments.
- Develop and manage project schedules, scope, and deliverables; monitor progress and communicate status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous process improvements within the PMO, leveraging lessons learned and data-driven insights.
- Ensure effective project closure, including documentation, deliverable confirmation, and post-implementation support transitions.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration Project Management, Business Management, or related field.Five (5) years of in-depth technical experience.Five (5) years of supervisory experience in project management of large-scale systems or services in an IT environment with a minimum of two (2) years in a project management role.Or an equivalent combination of experience and education.Must possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or obtain it within twelve (12) months of hire and maintain certification for the duration of employment.Employment Screenings Required :
