Location : Richmond, VA (Full-Time Onsite with Some Remote Flexibility)

Salary : $150,000 – $170,000 + Relocation Assistance Available

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Local Product Manager to help shape the future of sustainable transportation. In this highly impactful role, you'll drive product strategy, customer engagement, and technical solutions for a cutting-edge portfolio of traction systems and energy-efficient solutions within the US market. You'll work closely with local sales leaders and global product teams to deliver low-carbon innovations across the rail, electric vehicle, and off-road sectors.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate customer requirements and define optimal technical solutions and scopes
  • Drive customer acquisition and order intake alongside sales and global product teams
  • Oversee project hand-offs to engineering while maintaining ownership of proposed technical solutions and cost structure
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional technical support and communication
  • Monitor and analyze key market trends, technologies, and competitive landscapes
  • Identify product portfolio gaps and propose new product ideas in collaboration with global product management and R&D
  • Define value propositions for key segments and support marketing activities through technical presentations, webinars, and publications
  • Act as a trusted internal and external voice, ensuring alignment with safety, integrity, and customer-first values

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in industrial roles across engineering, R&D, or technical sales (multi-area experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, VFDs, and drive sub-systems (e.g., motors, traction batteries)
  • Domain experience in railway or e-Mobility sectors is a strong advantage
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and resolve escalations effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in English—both written and verbal
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful in high-pressure environments
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to lead through influence
  • A passion for innovation and curiosity to explore emerging technologies

    This is a full-time onsite role based in Richmond, VA, with some flexibility for remote work. Travel is required throughout the U.S. and Canada, with occasional international trips. Relocation assistance is available.
