Job Description
We are looking for an ITSM Specialist with strong experience in CMDB and IT Asset Management (ITAM) modules. The professional will be responsible for implementing discovery processes and maintaining accurate asset data across data center, network, and end-user computing (EUC) environments.
Responsibilities
Configure and manage CMDB and ITAM modules to track and maintain IT assets across DC, Network, and EUC environments.
Set up and optimize discovery jobs (agent-based and agentless) to identify and collect asset data.
Define and maintain the data model , CI relationships , and reconciliation rules .
Integrate CMDB with ITSM processes (incident, change, request, license management).
Ensure data quality through normalization, deduplication, and regular audits.
Generate reports and dashboards to monitor asset inventory, discovery coverage, and data accuracy.
Work closely with infrastructure, procurement, and service management teams to ensure compliance and governance.
Document processes, configuration, and data flow diagrams.
Requirements
Proven experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow , BMC Helix / Atrium , or similar.
Deep understanding of CMDB , ITAM , and ITIL best practices.
Hands-on experience with asset discovery tools (SCCM, Lansweeper, SNMP, WMI, SSH, API).
Knowledge of data normalization and reconciliation workflows.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
Nice to Have
Experience developing CMDB data models for hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or SQL) for data transformation or automation.
ITIL or ServiceNow certification (e.g., ITIL v4, CSA, CAD).
Requirements
