Position Summary :

The full-time Nurse Practitioner - HIV Specialist is responsible for providing and supervising the quality, competency and quantity of health care services rendered to high risk populations with emphasis on individuals living with HIV and individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or queer (LGBTQ)

Principal Responsibilities :

Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers

Provides client teaching to individuals and families when appropriate

Monitors quality and appropriateness of services provided

Identifies new services or programs relevant to agency’s mission and philosophy

Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies and guidelines of primary care regulatory agencies

Supervises staff in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership practices

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications :

Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in NJ

Master’s degree in Nursing from an NLN accredited program

Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority; maintain a CDS and DEA

2+ years of primary or ambulatory care nursing experience required 5. Business or management degree or experience preferred with demonstrated leadership skills

Car and valid driver’s license

Working Conditions / Physical Demand : Working indoors. Exposure to blood, body fluids and communicable diseases. Sitting, fine motor hand movement, standing and walking. Client / customer contact

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $125,000.00  to USD $170,000.00  When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education / training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
