Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Coder, Family / Internal Med, Provider Practice.

Key Responsibilities

Review medical documentation and assign appropriate codes (ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT)

Support coding compliance and documentation accuracy through effective communication with medical professionals

Participate in coding team meetings and serve as a subject matter expert

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Certification in Coding required

Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology, including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding schemes

Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P, CCS-H, or COC required

Successful coursework in medical terminology or human anatomy / physiology preferred

Must obtain certification within one year of hire if not certified at the time of hire
