Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a company dedicated to innovation and quality, we are looking for an individual who can contribute to our success through advanced test automation skills and active participation in manual testing within an Agile / Scrum environment.

This is a Remote position available in the United States.

Responsibilities :

Establish purpose and deliverables for all test efforts

Create and execute detailed test cases based on functional specifications

Develop test plans and test strategy documents based on business requirements

Review test plans with project team and garner feedback

Modify and maintain existing test cases as needed based on updated functionality

Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, system, regression and user acceptance testing

Report, review and retest defects and ensure that all important defects have been resolved at the appropriate level prior to product release

Participate in defect triage discussions

Work as a lead on smaller projects, guiding junior team members

Automate test cases using industry standard tools as required by the project

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree is required (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of applicable degree)

4-8 years of testing web-based and / or mobile applications required

Preferred Qualifications :

Advanced proficiency in Java for Selenium and TypeScript for Cypress automation.

Experience working with Selenium and Cypress Automation Frameworks

Strong UI automation expertise with Cypress (E2E and Component UI Tests).

Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Comprehensive API testing mastery (REST, SOAP, Postman, Rest Assured).

Excellent SQL skills for data-driven testing and analysis.

Proficiency with version control (Git / GitHub / Bitbucket), Maven, and CI tools (Jenkins).

Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

Strong problem-solving capabilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts

Experience working with offshore and geographically spread out development and testing teams

Completed or working towards industry standard testing certification

Experience and exposure to SOX compliance and audits

Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $105,000 - 115,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to : 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 80 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule(vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
