Ryder is hiring a CDL A or B local straight truck team driver in Portland, ME . A local truck driving job typically consists of transporting freight within a 200-mile radius, allowing the driver to complete their deliveries and return home the same day. Compensation :

  • Weekly Pay : $1,040+
  • Hourly Rate : $25.09

40 hours per week

  • Bonuses

    • Sign-on Bonus : $1,500, pays you $750 at 30 days and $750 at 90 days

    • Home Time, Route & Schedule :

  • Home daily
  • Start times 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 45 AM
  • Monday Friday
  • Route : ME, NH, and MA
  • Freight : Touch Communication Equipment-White Glove Service

    • Equipment :

  • Trucks are three years or newer
  • 26' Straight Truck
  • 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

    • Qualifications

  • Must have a valid CDL B License
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have Class Bverifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle

    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

  • 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures
  • Must live within 30 miles of Portland, ME
