About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position at a hospital in North Carolina. This 48-day assignment begins on 09 / 01 / 2025, with a work schedule of 4 non-consecutive 10-hour shifts per week from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a diverse range of high-acuity cases, including neuro anesthesia, spine procedures, transplants, and various surgical specialties. This role requires expertise in handling patients with high ASA and BMI levels. The position excludes cardiac, liver, obstetric, and pediatric cases, as well as regional anesthesia and blocks, which will be managed by MDAs. Proficiency in Epic EMR is necessary. There is potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Provide anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to neuro, spine, ortho, transplant (kidneys), endoscopy, GI, thoracic, general surgery, vascular, and trauma cases
  • Manage high-acuity patients with elevated ASA and BMI levels
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient care management
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
  • Maintain open communication with the healthcare team and patients' families

Additional Information :

  • North Carolina license required
  • Experience with arterial line placement preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
