Senior Project Engineer Mechanical (Oshkosh Defense, JLTV / DXPV Program)
Location : Oshkosh, WI (Hybrid : Onsite minimum Tuesday-Thursday)
Role Summary :
As a Senior Project Engineer supporting the Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicle (DXPV) platform for Oshkosh Defense, you will drive engineering excellence in new product development for next-generation tactical vehicles. This high-impact role combines technical leadership, hands-on verification, and process improvement, shaping vehicle design and ensuring robust, reliable solutions for the Dutch Marines. You will manage cross-functional teams, oversee key deliverables, and contribute to the launch of innovative defense technologies.
Emphasis on Skills :
- DFMEA (creation, management, leadership in cross-functional reviews)
- DVP&R (hands-on experience, verification / test, build coordination)
- CREO & Windchill (CAD tools, change management)
- Prototype development and detailed design reviews
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and technicians to achieve project goalsCreate, manage, and drive DFMEA and DVP&R processes for new product developmentOversee release, verification, and change notice management for vehicle components and systemsConduct hands-on verification, testing, and build coordination during the prototype phasePrepare and contribute to detailed design reviews, ensuring alignment with engineering standardsProvide technical guidance and resolve engineering issues throughout the product lifecycleCollaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective solutionsMaintain thorough project documentation and support continuous improvement initiativesRecruiter Insights :
