We're seeking a Site Food Safety & Quality Leader to oversee food safety, compliance, and quality systems within a dynamic and growing production environment.

About the Role :

As the Site Food Safety & Quality Leader , you'll serve as the primary authority on all site-level food safety and quality programs , ensuring full compliance with FDA, GFSI, and customer standards. You'll lead an engaged team of quality technicians while collaborating with manufacturing, operations, and corporate leadership to maintain world-class safety, regulatory, and performance benchmarks.

You'll be responsible for keeping the facility audit-ready every day , driving process improvements, and leading continuous improvement initiatives that elevate the plants performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee and maintain the sites Food Safety and Quality Programs , including HACCP, GMP, Allergen Control, and Food Defense.

Ensure site compliance with 21 CFR 117 and GFSI codes, maintaining full documentation and readiness for inspections.

Lead internal audits, train auditors, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Manage new-hire and annual training programs focused on GMP, HACCP, and site-specific quality procedures.

Oversee testing and measurement programs ensuring precision and data accuracy across production and lab systems.

Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances; develop and document effective corrective actions.

Present performance metrics (KPI, audit findings, complaints, and CAPA progress) to site and corporate teams.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Partner with cross-functional teams on labeling, ERP / LIMS system updates, and special quality-related projects.

Foster a culture of integrity, excellence, and accountability that aligns with the organizations core values.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field.

2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or regulated production environment.

Prior supervisory or leadership experience within QA or Food Safety functions.

Deep understanding of FDA, GFSI (SQF / BRC), HACCP , and quality management systems.

Proficient in root cause analysis, CAPA systems, and internal auditing.

Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
