Responsible in maintaining, controlling, and operating machines and equipment that are used in the manufacturing process. Ensures that the product meets company specifications, ensures that the job duties that affect safety, legality and quality standards are addressed.

Ensures that our products meet the company’s standards and specificationsComplete, legible and accurate documentationMust understand and follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)Food Safety and Quality Standard Requirements are being maintained dailyMust understand and comply with the company Allergen, Food Defense and HACCP policiesMust communicate with Supervision of any Food Safety and Equipment concernsFollows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the area workedEstablishes and maintains effective working relationshipsNever abuse equipmentWork with Supervision and Maintenance to maintain equipment in good working conditionAbility to work in a fast paced environmentCorrect weighing and recording of any waste to be disposed ofFollows all work instructionsPerform all other work assigned duties as required by SupervisionKeep work area and machinery cleanUse Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary for task at handNever use damaged palletsMust comply with all safety policies and procedures at all timesUtilize all safety devicesReport any unsafe work practices or injuries to your supervisorRequired to maintain a safe and clean work environmentResponsibilities
Works to maintain and improve on the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.Responsible for the production of a quality product that meets all customer and regulatory requirements.Effectively communicates as required with supervisor.Assures that the necessary tools, settings and supplies are ready prior to production.Maintains constant attendance to the machines and prevents other employees that are not trained on that machine from improper use.Records and accounts for all materials used on the line for assigned shift.Assists supervisor in maintaining the work areas in a clean and safe manner.Makes machine adjustments, and informs the supervisor and the maintenance department when major repairs are required.Records all down time due to machine malfunctions and reports them to the supervisor at the end of the shift.May be required to use the SAP computer system, and accurately document finished goods, or semi-finished goods.May be required to take on additional responsibilities or roles based on the needs of the plant.Other duties assigned by managers / supervisorsSkills, Experience & Qualifications
One year related experience and / or trainingEducation, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level
Required
High School Diploma or GEDPreferred
Experience in the food industryPhysical Requirements
