Summary

CHS  has an exciting opportunity at our facility located in  Mankato, MN.  We are looking for a  Railcar / Railyard Technician  to ensure proper movement hopper and tanker cars. Looking for someone who is self-motivated, has the desire to learn, and works well with others. Must be able to work a 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with procedures, policies, rules and regulations.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Operate equipment for switching railcars. This includes operating a track mobile, switching engine, plow truck and front-end loader.
• Conduct railcar inspections to confirm proper sealing and validate seal data.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and assist maintenance techs as needed.
• Follow all plant and food safety rules and procedures.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
