Junior Project Manager – HVAC Sheet Metal Ductwork

In-Office | Full-Time | Staff Force

Staff Force is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager for one of our clients, specializing in commercial HVAC and sheet metal ductwork projects . This role is primarily in-office, with occasional travel to project sites or partner offices. The Junior PM will play a key role in coordinating project operations, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC and sheet metal ductwork projects from start to finish

Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and senior project managers on submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules

Maintain accurate project records, logs, and documentation

Coordinate with field crews to ensure timely material deliveries, duct fabrication, and manpower alignment

Review mechanical drawings, ductwork layouts, and specifications to confirm scope and compliance

Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to resolve project issues

Participate in project meetings (in-person or virtual) and provide detailed follow-ups

Support project budget management, job cost tracking, and reporting

Remain primarily in-office for project administration, with occasional site visits required

Requirements :

1–3 years of experience in HVAC and sheet metal ductwork projects (including internships or field coordination)

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic understanding of mechanical systems and ductwork layouts required

Preferred Skills :

Hands-on experience with Procore or other project management software

Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or project scheduling tools

Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required)
