Job description

Job Title : Auditor I

This position is open only to Colorado state residents. The salary range for this position is $54,960.00 - $60,588.00 annually. This is a remote position that is primarily tasked with performing work duties via flex-place (aka telework, work-from-home arrangements) with infrequent on-site visits with client groups, 350 West Carr Avenue, Cripple Creek, CO 80813.

Minimum Qualifications

Residency Requirement : This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application.

Class Code & Classification Description : H8D2TX - AUDITOR I

Minimum Qualifications : Experience Only : Five (5) years of relevant experience in auditing. OR Education and Experience : A combination of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, certification, and / or relevant experience in auditing equal to 5 years. Current, valid licensure as a CPA from the Colorado Board of Accountancy or current, valid CIA certificate will substitute for five (5) years of the requirement.

Special Qualifications : Must successfully pass a background investigation and a tax check prior to appointment to position in the Gaming Division. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License (at the time of application).

Conditions of Employment

Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence. All personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records / accounts to ensure compliance with this policy.

Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Any worker who will be expected to drive a State-owned vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe driving record and a valid driver license prior to driving any State-owned vehicle.
