The Inventory Accounting Supervisor will oversee month-end close, financial reporting, cost accounting, and inventory management across multiple entities. You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of their financial statements while mentoring and developing a high-performing accounting team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, and payroll as needed.
  • Manage and review month-end close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting.
  • Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and margin reporting.
  • Monitor inventory accounting, including cycle counts, adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data for multiple entities.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance to provide insights into cost trends and inventory performance.
  • Lead, train, and mentor team members - fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with internal controls, audits, and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the Controller and CFO with ad hoc analysis and special projects.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with manufacturing and cost accounting exposure.
  • Experience managing or supervising a small team strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory management.
  • Experience using larger ERP systems and advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Enjoys mentoring and developing others while maintaining a hands-on approach.
  • Salary : $120K-$130K
