Patient Account Specialist

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist - Remote (OR & WA).

Key Responsibilities

Manage patient inquiries regarding payment options and insurance setup, ensuring compliance with financial assistance policies

Establish and monitor payment arrangements with patients, resolving outstanding account issues to achieve zero-balance accounts

Perform data entry and maintain accurate customer databases, documenting all interactions and transactions related to patient accounts

Required Qualifications

College coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work preferred

Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field required

Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing preferred

Proficient use of computers and MS Office applications required

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision required
