Engineering Test Technician

As a member of the Battery Test Team, you will play an active role in the characterization and validation of the high voltage battery packs. You will support test engineers with various projects that thermally, mechanically, and electrically stress components. This might include building test harnesses, running / monitoring an active setup, making thermocouples, or occasionally assisting offsite. Each week will be different. This is a startup and things move quickly. You will learn and develop many valuable, hands-on engineering lab skills along the way.

Responsibilities

• Build fixtures and test stands
• Operate test equipment
• Assist with battery safety testing
• Instrument Devices Under Test (DUTs) with sensors for data collection
• Troubleshoot wiring issues as they come up
• Assist test engineer with test execution and monitoring
• Maintain equipment and keep a neat and organized lab
