Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D or M.S.) - The Woodlands, TX

Texas Oncology - The Woodlands, part of the Gulf Coast Region, is seeking a full-time, team-oriented Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D. or M.S.) to join our team. We are open to hiring a upcoming 2026 Physics Resident graduate and holding the position until their July 1, 2026 graduation date or an earlier date if available. Texas Oncology has more than 220 sites of service throughout Texas, with more than 600+ providers. The Gulf Coast region is experiencing growth and the addition of multiple sites throughout the greater Houston area, offering the opportunity to impact patient care and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Full range of on-site clinical medical physics support to include HDR
  • Support and participate in physics support for the Gulf Coast Region
  • Occasionally travel to sites within the region for on-site physics support
  • Determine the need for, specify, and access dosimetric and treatment planning equipment, including measurement instruments to calibrate all treatment equipment and monitoring devices, computerized treatment planning systems, and related QA tools
  • Advise and consult with physicians to provide direction to technical staff when patients are being planned or treated

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university
  • ABR certified, or have completed a CAMPEP-approved residency and be board eligible, with working experience in a clinical environment
  • Texas Medical Board license required or must be obtained
