About The Position

We’re seeking a  Board-Certified General Surgeon  to join a trusted hospital-based team in  Paducah, KY , providing  24-hour call coverage  at a competitive rate of  $2,100 per day . This position offers a rewarding balance of meaningful work and flexibility—with  comprehensive malpractice coverage ,  complimentary travel and lodging , and the potential for  ongoing monthly assignments  starting in 2026.

📅 Coverage Dates : November 8–16

November 24–28

December 8–14

December 22–28

(Ongoing need : approximately one week per month beginning January 2026)

🏥 Position Details :

Setting :  Hospital-based coverage only

Schedule :  24-hour EMTALA call shifts (7am–7am)

Average Volume :  1–3 surgical cases / day and 2–4 consults / day

EMR :  EPIC

Operating Rooms :  12 well-equipped suites

Support Team :  Experienced CSTs, RNFAs, and First Assists

Patient Population :  Pediatric to geriatric (limited peds as needed)

Robotics :  Available for certified surgeons

Credentialing :  Temporary privileges available for urgent needs

🧠 Required Skills & Procedures :

General adult and minor trauma surgery

Central line and chest tube insertions

Vascular access devices

Cholecystectomy

Hernioplasty

Colon and small bowel procedures

✅ Requirements :

Board Certified (ABoS)

Active Kentucky License

COVID Vaccination  – Highly preferred

Clean background  – Highly preferred
