Who we are and what we do :
The Tennessee Department of Correction operates and oversees 14 adult prisons across the state, housing some 21,000 offenders. In the community, TDOC supervises 79,000 offenders on probation, parole, or community corrections. The department operates 44 probation / parole offices in 13 districts across the state.
How you make a difference in this role :
The Correctional Compliance Specialist 2 provides administrative support to the Audit Director 1Community Supervision within the Office of Inspector General (OIG). Duties and responsibilities include assisting with audits of community supervision offices, preparing compliance reports, and assisting in follow-up audits to ensure findings are corrected. Additionally, the Correctional Compliance Specialist 2 assists in reviewing and developing inspection instruments used to monitor compliance. This position reports directly to the Audit Director 1Community Supervision.
Key Responsibilities :
Minimum Qualifications :
Education and Experience : Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree and experience equivalent to five years of correctional work.
Substitution of Experience for Education : Qualifying full-time professional or paraprofessional correctional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.
OR
5 years of compliance or auditing experience in correctional facilities or programs.
