Description of Duties : We're looking for an Earned Value (EV) Scheduler Lead for Amentum's Missile Defense Division. The EV Scheduler Lead reports to the EV Manager supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) Contract. The EV Scheduler Lead will lead a team of EV schedulers that are matrixed across multiple task orders and ensure full compliance with documented EV standards and guidelines, the IRES EVM System Description, the Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG) and established best practices.
Responsibilities :
Leadership & Management :
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and mentorship to the EV schedulers and other team members on best practices and EVMS principles
- Develop and deliver training to project personnel on EVMS requirements and scheduling best practices
- Ensure schedules comply with EVMS guidelines
- Assist with EVMS implementation
- Provide accurate schedule deliverables to customers; and ensure EV schedulers develop and maintain schedule artifacts and other documentation supporting monthly earned value and contract deliverables
Technical Acumen :
Conduct schedule risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to identify and address potential problemsLead efforts to improve EVMS and scheduling processesDesign and evaluate new toolsProvide technical support for complex scheduling issuesPerform critical path analysis, resource loading, schedule risk assessments, and other schedule analyses to optimize project performanceCreate, baseline, and update integrated project schedules, develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and integrate them with EVMS dataCustomer Engagement and Collaboration :
Optimize customer visibilityCollaborate with project managers, control account managers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate schedule development and to communicate schedule status and risksResumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as an employee for one of our teammate companies.
Basic Requirements :
Must have 14, or more, years of general experience o May be reduced with the completion of advanced educationMust have 8, or more, years of directly related / specialized experience as an EV schedulerMust have 5, or more, years or experience working in a management or leadership roleMust have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security ClearanceDesired Requirements :
Have experience managing a complex, discrete resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule consisting of Level of Effort (LOE) and multiple independent project schedulesHave experience providing support to Control Account Managers (CAMs) and Project Managers (PjMs) in the creation of resource loaded proposal development schedules, establishing EV compliant baseline schedules, capturing weekly / monthly project status updates, developing accurate forecasts for remaining work, and updating accurate Physical % Complete values for EV performance calculationsHave experience leading month-end updates (establishing new baselines, capturing approved baseline changes, status and forecast updates) to support the monthly IPMR cycleHave experience using SSI Tools (or similar tools) to perform schedule data analysis and create data export bridge files from MS Project to be uploaded into Deltek CobraHave experience performing in-depth schedule analysis, to include but not limited to 14-point assessments, DECM data tests and schedule risk assessmentsHave experience working in a Project Web Application (PWA) server environment as well as the desktop environment utilizing MS ProjectHave experience enforcing strict change control processes and maintaining an IMS in accordance with an Earned Value Management System Description and industry standard EV guidanceThis position is expected to pay $160,000 - $180,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
