MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Prepares a master schedule in advance to maintain appropriate ratios of staff to youth. Forecasts staffing needs based on program population, youth safety issues, and youth acuity; keeping the Program Managers and Directors apprised as needed.
Maintains necessary staffing patterns and replaces assigned staff when necessary for illness, vacation, holiday, or emergencies using dedicated on-call staff, part-time staff, or approving overtime for full-time staff.
Works on-call, as assigned, to assist in staffing matters 24 hours per day. When on call, be consistently available to manage all staffing issues that may arise and assist the Shift Supervisors in managing staffing issues. Ensure timely communication with Shift Supervisors to address staffing concerns.
Assists in monitoring PRTF employee leave balances (i.e., sick, vacation, floating holiday) and works with Employee Relations on worker’s compensation, FMLA, military leave, etc.) while ensuring compliance with leave policies.
Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure that all personnel are appropriately recruited, interviewed, trained, and onboarded and continue to follow regulatory and compliance expectations regarding trainings and licensure.
Assists in the submission of requisitions for new and replacement positions. Responsible for submitting PAF changes such as resignations, salary changes, or FTE status changes.
Establishes, builds, and maintains positive and professional relationships with all staff through recruitment, hire, and during their employment.
Keeps time for all PRTF staff. Reviews bi-monthly time sheets for accurate payroll transmittal on all staff and verifies payroll accuracy. Works closely with Payroll Department to solve employee payroll irregularities. Re-distributes hours allocated to the Special Education cost code as required.
Participates in the annual salary budget process and maintains budgetary salary compliance through adherence to Position Control. Updates Position Control data on a monthly or as needed basis.
Prepares monthly and annual reports and collects/reports statistical data related to salary analysis, including trends and recommendations related to overtime, pay incentives and employee turnover.
Displays professionalism through willingness to act as a team member, consistently implementing and supporting the Psychoeducational Model of treatment including the ability to receive, implement and solicit feedback from others in a timely manner.

Demonstrates effective communication with coworkers, supervisor, and consumers. Is timely in responding to emails and messages from staff.
Takes responsibility for personal and professional development through attendance at mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
Models appropriate life skills behaviors including hygiene, grooming, dress, manners, and language.
Complies with applicable policies and procedures for a youth physical intervention (personal restraint) in the event of emergency safety situations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 20 years of age required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years staffing and payroll experience with a larger 24/7 organization preferred.
Staff scheduling experience preferred.
Previous experience using Microsoft Office and Excel software preferred.

Behavioral Health Staffing Coordinator • Primary Location: Omaha, Nebraska
