Senior Reinsurance Accountant

A company is looking for a Senior Reinsurance Accountant III.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statements and reinsurance cession statements

Participate in the monthly accounting close process, including journal entries and reconciliations

Support year-end financial statement audits and participate in automation and system implementation projects

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant public accounting and / or industry experience focused on reinsurance accounting

Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and Statutory accounting

Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software such as Sage Intacct and Workiva preferred
