Kurt Manufacturing is adding a Buyer / Planner to our team! This position is responsible for purchasing the raw materials, components, and services needed to meet production requirements and surpass customer expectations. The Buyer / Planner evaluates and analyzes supplier quotes, negotiates prices, maintains relationships with vendors, and ensures orders are delivered on time. As a Kurt Buyer / Planner, you are organized, proactive, detail-oriented and able to keep things running smoothly. You know how to plan ahead, negotiate with suppliers, and solve problems quickly. Hours : 7 : 00 a.m. - 3 : 30 p.m.; Monday - Friday Compensation The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $59,500 to $79,500. The offered rate will be based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education. Essential Functions + Source, negotiate, and select vendors that meet the company's quality, price, and delivery requirements. + Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers. + Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. + Review and analyze purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders. + Monitor inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained. + Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on late orders. + Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors. + Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. + Prepare reports on purchase activity and supplier performance. + Open and maintain internal and external manufacturing production orders Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
