Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for leading the manufacturing operation to ensure quality products are produced safely, on schedule, and with a focus on continuous productivity, efficiency, and cost improvements. The role emphasizes safety, people, process, and equipment to support an improved internal and external customer experience.
Job Location
Onsite at our Salisbury, NC plant.
Job Responsibilities
- Promotes a safe work environment and ensures safety is communicated and enforced at all levels of responsibility within the production team
- Direct management of Production Supervisors
- Lead the day-to-day operations of a non-union production operation
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in personnel, processes, and overall operation effectiveness
- Lead problem solving and root cause analysis to identify gaps in performance and implement corrective actions
- Ensure the facility is appropriately staffed to safely achieve production metrics
- Develop Supervisors and provide support / tools to achieve their leadership potential
- Coach direct reports and continually seek performance improvements
- As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, drive facility performance and teamwork through collaboration
- Coordinate with Product Development to implement new products, processes, and equipment
- Work with Plant Controller and PM to establish and report KPI's and performance metrics
- Collaborate with Planner / Scheduler to ensure a consistent and efficient flow of product
- Ensure adherence to legal and statutory safety and operating standards
- Willingness to work outside typical hours to engage supervisory team and ensure consistent application of processes
- Other duties as reasonably assigned

5+ years of experience as an Operations Leader with a track record of achieving metricsProven ability to improve production processes using continuous improvement toolsLeadership experience with diverse teams and accountability while maintaining a positive work environmentSAP experience strongly preferredRoot Cause / Corrective Action understanding and executionStrong commitment to employee engagementAbility to be on-call to support production off-shifts and issuesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and wear required PPEWhat CRH Offers You
