About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) to join their team. The successful candidate will be the operational right hand to the CISO, with a focus on driving day-to-day security excellence, incident response readiness, and data protection. This role is pivotal in maturing the company's security operations and incident response capabilities. The Deputy CISO will also be responsible for leading the security operations rhythm, owning the major incident process, and establishing clear runbooks and playbooks. Additionally, the role involves designing and implementing a multi-layer incident response strategy, maturing data protection capabilities, and serving as a hands-on security architecture leader. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role related to security operations, incident response, or data protection. The role requires a strong communicator who can engage with executives, customers, and partners, and a candidate with practical security architecture experience across various controls. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree being desired, and hold a CISSP certification. Experience in the public sector and proficiency in Spanish and / or Portuguese are preferred. The Deputy CISO will be measured on their ability to reduce MTTD / MTTR, improve control health, and have a positive impact on go-to-market activities.
