Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Optical Engineer at our Hopewell Junction, NY location. The Optical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing optical systems and components, working on laser-related projects, and performing systems design. The daily tasks involve conducting research, performing simulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of optical solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on capability in integrating and testing optical instruments such as projection displays, imagers, optical test instruments
• Optical Design and Optical Engineering skills
• Experience with Laser technology
• Systems Design and Physics knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Bachelor's or Master's or Ph.D degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Experience in the defense or photonics industry is a plus
• US citizen or green card holder
